R 8,500): Scope, timeline, and cost are agreed in writing before work begins. The indicative timeline of six to fourteen weeks applies to the agreed scope; variations are discussed before being actioned.

9. Disclaimers

Watches are accepted for service based on our assessment of their condition at time of receipt. We exercise all reasonable care but cannot guarantee outcomes for watches with pre-existing structural damage, unavailable parts, or advanced deterioration that limits what is achievable. We will communicate our assessment honestly and will not proceed with work we do not believe we can perform to the appropriate standard.

Services are provided by professional watchmakers but do not constitute manufacturer-authorised servicing for warranty purposes. Where manufacturer warranty may be relevant, we recommend contacting the brand directly.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the cost of re-performing the service or, where that is not possible, refunding the service fee paid. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. This limitation does not exclude liability for negligence causing damage to your watch — any such claim will be assessed and resolved in good faith.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Balancier against claims arising from your misrepresentation of ownership or authority in relation to any watch submitted for service, or from your breach of these Terms and Conditions.

12. Termination

Either party may withdraw from a service agreement before work begins. If you withdraw after work has commenced, you will be responsible for the cost of work already performed. We reserve the right to decline service at our discretion, in which case no charge will apply and the watch will be returned promptly.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, we will make every effort to resolve it informally through direct communication. If informal resolution is not achieved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We encourage clients to contact us directly in the first instance.

14. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Balancier in relation to the services described. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver. These Terms may not be assigned by you without our consent.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always appear on this page with the updated date. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
